Your Customers Are Seeing Your Competitors Business (but not yours) on Local & Mobile Searches!

Local Search is the New Window to Your Front DoorIt's extremely frustrating to see your business buried below your competitors, or worse, not even being listed at all.  It's a gut wrenching feeling where you can feel paralyzed because you know that in this Mobile era, the Internet, Mobile, and Local Search ecosystems are the "New Window" to your organizations "Front Door".  Unfortunately you simply cannot flip a switch and instantly outrank everybody else who is managing their "Digital Footprint".

Well not quite, although NOBODY can force Google (or any search engine) to rank your website at the top of "their" results... you can however, manage your Digital Signals and start rising above your competitors. Search Engines are extremely complex and use thousands of constantly changing algorithms to determine the best search results for their users.

To help manage your digital footprint and rise above your competitors we suggest a THREE-Pronged Strategy.

One:  Search your main products and services you offer to see how you are comparing with your competitors.

Good or bad, the Local Search ecosystem is constantly evolving so it's important to stay on top of your Digital Footprint and adjust as needed.  If you need help, we offer FREE Snapshot Reports of how your Business is seen across the Local Search ecosystem.

Two:  Make sure to Claim, Verify, and Optimize your Google Business accounts.

You're probably getting a ton of calls everyday claiming to be Google and wanting to fix your listings.  Be careful, this is not Google calling to fix your listing... they will not call you out of the blue like a shady telemarketer.  If you need help, we just charge for our time and will Claim, Verify, and Optimize your Google Business accounts for you.

Three:  Subscribe your Business Name, Address, & Phone (NAP) to the four major Data Aggregators - Neustar/Localeze, Infogroup, Acxiom and Factual.

These providers disseminate their listing information to over 300 listings sites - Yelp, YP.com, Judy’s Book and many, many others.

There are a ton of inconsistant signals that search engines like Google pick up.

  • Business owners & employees inadvertently entering inconsistent information on their own.
  • Government sources
  • User-generated content (UGC)
  • Google sources (Maps, Google+, Places, etc)
  • Data providers

The more consistent and accurate your NAP information is throughout the digital ecosystem the more weighted affect you will get on your Local Search rankings, resulting in a "Citations Effect" (listings of NAP's), which is another piece of the Local Search Puzzle.
